Training for sitting for European Computer Driving License
From September, 13 till November, 26, 2010 a training for sitting for European Computer Driving License was held at the National Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind, Plovdiv. Visually impaired people from the whole country took part in the training and they got new knowledge in the frameworks of 4 modules from the current version of the curriculum - Syllabus 5.0.show all text
Training for sitting for European Computer Driving License
From July, 5 till July, 30, 2010 training for sitting for European Computer Driving License was held at the National Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind, Plovdiv. Visually impaired people from the whole country took part in the training and they got new knowledge in the frameworks of 3 modules from the current version of the curriculum - Syllabus 5.0. The training ended with an exam for getting the START certificate under the ECDL standard.show all text

NRCB’s Intra-organizational training in ICF
On 8 and 9 March, 2010, an intra-organizational NRCB training on the international classification ICF took place in the framework of the ICFproVIP Project, partner in which is the Center. It included presenting to the colleagues the ideas, principles, mechanisms and the instruments of the ICF, some practical tasks with a following discussion and dissemination of informational materials on the project and the Classification itself. The training ended with a discussion of its applicability in Bulgaria and setting some questions and topics for the next partners’ meeting in Duren, Germany.

Social enterprise Labor office for visually impaired people
In January, 2010, the Association “Center for support of the social integration – priorities” with the partnership of Rehabilitation for the Blind Foundation started the realization of a project “Establishing a social enterprise Labor office for visually impaired people”.show all text
Free of charge medical examinations at the NRCB
In January 2010, “Intercomplex” Ltd funded the execution of medical echography examinations ( echography of abdominal organs and echography of pelvic organs) at the National rehabilitation Center for the Blind. Over 120 visually impaired people from Plovdiv and the environs and their relatives were examined, diagnosed and consulted by a specialized medical team, who has come at the place for 3 weeks to execute the examinations.
On 28.12.2009 the NRCB got a license from the State Agency for children’s protection for providing the following social service for children – a Center for social rehabilitation and integration of disabled children. Thus the organization broadens the scope of clients, who may get training and rehabilitation by covering the needs of visually impaired children.

On 12 November 2009 the training in massage – part of profession Cosmetics ended with state exams.
