BASIC REHABILITATION
Cooking
The training in cooking is part of the basic rehabilitation of visually impaired people. The training in cooking aims at recovering previous cooking abilities as well as to help acquiring new under the conditions of badly injured or missing eyesight. The cooking trainings give the trainees maximum independence when operating in the kitchen using their unspoiled compensatory analyzers and their life experience. They help acquiring abilities and eating culture at home and in public houses.
During the training the trainees master easily realizable recipes for preparing basic kinds of food in the everyday life. The training is strictly individual and the teacher works with up to two trainees at the same time. Through an interview and with the help of proper tests the teacher in cooking makes for each client an individual rehabilitation program suitable to his/her needs, preferences and abilities.
