BASIC REHABILITATION
Initial computer literacy
The training in computer literacy has been divided into three types:
- Initial computer literacy;
- Vocational training as a part of profession;
- Getting an European certificate or computer skills (ECDL).
Subject of the basic rehabilitation is the initial computer literacy.
The initial computer literacy is designed for visually impaired people, using a computer with synthetic speech or a Braille display and using a computer with a monitor.
The training includes theory (75 hours) and practice (45hours). Basic skills for work with an operational system Windows, text documents, Internet environment and electronic communications are acquired. The trainees master the key combinations of the specific software with synthetic speech and get skills for use of software to adapt the visual screen to the individual characteristics of the visually impaired.
